Meet The AMP Team

Visual Art

Hello Kendrick Lakes!
My name is Ms. Skala and I am so excited to make art with you this year! Though this will be my first year at Kendrick Lakes, I've been teaching art since 2020 after I graduated from the University of Denver with my master's degree in art education. I am passionate about teaching students to engage in critical thinking, through exploring various steps of the creative process. This year, we will be learning about a wide variety of content and experimenting with new materials that help to bring our art to life; I hope your student will share with you both their struggles, and their joy through the year.
Outside of school, I love hiking, camping, reading, petting dogs, gardening, and making art of my own! I'm looking forward to a great year ahead :)
